The Executive Director for National Engagement and Regional Administrators leads a nationwide organization through a headquarters office in Washington, DC and 9 regional offices strategically located across the country. The Regions and Center Operations (ARO) enables the FAA to achieve its aviation safety mission by providing technical training, development and delivery, corporate outreach, emergency readiness, property management, facilities management, and infrastructure support.

The Regional Administrator serves as the senior agency official in the New England region. The Regional Administrator provides cross-functional oversight and leadership for the FAA Administrator and coordination across the lines of business to include Aviation Safety (AVS), Airports (ARP), and Air Traffic Organization (ATO). The Regional Administrator is the principal FAA representative for a specific geographical area comprised of several states. The Regional Administrator provides leadership in cross-organizational matters (e.g., environmental issues, airport development, aircraft noise concerns, airspace modernization, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and other major program initiatives, etc.). The incumbent interfaces with industry, the public, and various governmental organizations. The RA coordinates key FAA functional areas to include public affairs, regional counsel, human resources, airports, air traffic, flight standards, civil rights, and security and hazardous materials safety, which includes a population of approximately 300 civilian employees to include senior employees at the Executive, L, and K bands……….Read More>>
